Clones Town FC was founded in 1885 and is the oldest club in northern part of Ireland. The club is a County Monaghan football outfit that competes in the Meath District League and the Cavan / Monaghan League. Clones Town is traditionally a family club with most of its successful tradition being put down to the strong roots within the town and its surrounding areas. We have been successful throughout the years and are considered one of the best teams in the Monaghan/Cavan and Meath districts. The First team currently play in the MDL league and are current holders of the Tully Bookmakers cup. The Reserve team have also enjoyed their own wealth of success throughout the years and currently hold the LMC Division 2 Championship.
